Spread the word

The best way to tell other people about ZeroToxic NZ is to findĀ  others who share in the same values. The best format I have found is the network of business professionals who belong to BNI. Each week I meet with up to 25 others and we share referrals over breakfast, this is unique and very efficient in finding people who are looking to change. If you want to find out more, I have attached some details below.

BNI (Business Network International) is a business and professional referral organisation whose primary purpose is to exchange qualified business referrals and develop word-of-mouth marketing techniques.

Unlike other networking groups, BNI provides its members with a structure and a plan to enable them to network in a deliberate and professional manner. As an organisation, BNI keeps track of the number of referrals passed by each chapter and encourages the members to record the dollar value of the business they receive.

Rapid growth has seen BNI become the world’s largest business referral organisation, with currently over 120,000 members in 5,600 chapters in 44 countries, including Canada, USA, United Kingdom, Sweden, South Africa, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand, India and most recently South Korea.

Word-of-mouth marketing is the best advertising there is!

BNI provides a structured and supportive system of giving and receiving business. It does this by providing an environment in which personal relationships can be developed with dozens of other qualified business professionals.

By establishing this “formal” relationship with other people, each member has the opportunity to substantially increase his or her business.

How to Join?

The first step is to visit a chapter or chapters in your region to ensure that BNI is something you feel will add value to your business. At the same time you might like to run a category search in the Trade Directory to find who else from your trade or profession is already an active member of BNI – you may be surprised at how many of your competitors you find!

All chapters are listed on the website – however as we only permit one person per trade or profession in a chapter – the next step is to contact the BNI Regional Director for the chapter you are interested in prior to your visit to ensure that there is a vacancy for you.

Following your visit – if you decide you would like to apply to join a chapter – you will need to submit your application form together with your payment to the chapter Leadership Team for review. You need to be sponsored by an existing members and are required to provide two business references for following up by the chapter Leadership Team as part of the review process.
